Kevin Miller (Wakarusa) and Larry Schwartz (Goshen) beat out 31 teams in the R&B Circuit last weekend at Lake Tippecanoe by “junk fishing.”

The winners caught 11.65 pounds on a variety of baits: Pop-R, frogs, and Senkos. After catching some fish on topwater, they added to their limit by concentrating on channels and mainlake docks. Their efforts awarded them $648.

Mark Farver (Goshen) and Steve Kline (Albion) finished second ($405) with a double-digit limit (10.76 pounds). They caught the second biggest fish of the event ($62), earning them the Solar Bat Sunglasses Big Bass award with a 4.22-pound largemouth. After striking out on their first two spots, they concentrated on main lake docks and got all of their keepers by tossing jigs under them.

Trevor Paulus (Osceola) and Brad Sterling (Bremen) were third ($243) with 9.64 pounds caught by pitching Senkos and jigs at docks.

The Starboard Choice Marine Big Bass Award ($248), a 4.85-pound largemouth, was caught by Aaron Krider and Bob Bruick (Fort Wayne) by deep cranking in 25 foot of water.

The final event on the season will be held Sept. 9 at Lake Wawasee. Visit www.randbbasscircuit.com for info.
