Jake and Stephanie Lisenko (South Bend) caught a limit totaling 13.13 pounds to win the last regular season Casting Couples event last weekend on Paw Paw Lake.

There were 18 boats in the event and only two limits weighed in. In addition, 10 smallmouth were brought to the scales.

The Lisenko's used TroKar wacky worm hooks topped with baby bass colored Senkos in 8 - 12 foot of water on the break to win $280.

Rick Kedik (Niles) and Cheyenne Lisenko (South Bend) were second ($150) with five bass weighing 12.92 pounds. They used TroKar wacky worm hooks and bubblegum Senkos to catch their fish in 4 - 8 foot of water around weed patches. The duo also took home big bass honors with a 4.05-pound largemouth to earn another $85.

John Gipson Jr. (Battleground, Ind.) & Grandmother Rosemary Weaver (Dowagiac) brought in four keeper bass totaling 8.95 pounds to fishing third ($110). John and Rosemary used swim jigs around shallow weedbeds.

Chad and Jennifer Worvey (Niles) put four keeper bass on the scales that weighed 8.44-pounds for fourth ($55). The Worveys used homemade jigs on the breaks in 8-12 foot of water to catch their fish.

John and Zoee Dixon clinched the Anglers of the Year. They had a great first three tournaments then struggled the rest of the year to hold on to the top spot. The Dixon's will receive the Anglers of the Year jackets given out to the Points winners of the year.

The Casting Couples Classic will be held at Duck Lake in Interlochen, MI. Sept.29th.

The circuit will host three more OPEN tournaments this year (1 or 2 person team, does not need to be male and female, it can be just one male). They are:

Sept. 15 at Benton Harbor DNR ramp 7 a.m. to 12 p.m., 4-fish limit, $40-entry;

Oct. 13 Magician lake 7:30 a.m.-1 p.m., 4-fish limit, $40-entry with optional $10-bigbass ($50-total);

Nov. 3 Benton Harbor DNR ramp 8 a.m. ñ 1 p.m., 4-fish limit, $40-entry with optional $10-bigbass ($50-total).
