John Gipson (Battle Ground, Ind.) and his grandfather Jim Weaver (Dowagiac, Mich.) fished 8 to 10 feet of water with finesse baits on the St. Joseph River at Benton Harbor to win the Clear H2o Big Bass Challenge Classic last weekend.

The winners ($360) had 13 pounds, 10 ounces caught on 3.5-inch tube jigs and Jackall iShads.

Justin Hahaj (Bridgman, Mich.) and Mike Rappette (Benton Harbor) were second ($250) with 9-1 caught on tubes and crawdads along current breaks.

Tom Noe (Benton Harbor) was third ($120) with 5 pounds 4 ounces that included big bass, a 3-15 smallmouth. Noe caught his on a Missile Drop Craw.
