Captain Tony Wiatrowski and his “Break Time” crew from Bremen weighed 206.55 pounds to win the 40th annual Hoosier Coho Classic in Michigan City last weekend.

The Coho classic, the longest running fishing contest on the Great Lakes, offered a $40,000 purse and attracted 56 boats from Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Wisconsin.

Wiatrowski’s team won $8,000.

Salmon Hawk, captained by Carter Elenz of Michigan City, claimed a third consecutive Hoosier Coho Club Amateur Division title ($2,000) while Lucky Lady and Captain Nicolas Gill won the Small Boat Division.

Am Division: 1. Salmon Hawk (C. Elenz) 301.95; 2. Tail Chaser (B. Sweers) 295.3; 3. Melton Away (M. Melton )262.5; 4. My Tyme (B. Dodrill) 258.1; 5. Color Blind (B.Brown) 245.2.

Small Boat Division: 1. Lucky Lady (N. Gill) 252.6; 2. Once Over (T.Hach) 206.2; 3. Reel Therapy 190.7; 4. Red Zepplin 168.2; 5. Oakley (J. Dabkowski) 148.65.
