R&B Classic WinnersR&B Classic WinnersJason Dittmar (North Liberty) and Tony Kaser (North Liberty) put together a 12.15-pound limit to beat out 37 of the best teams in Michiana and win the R&B Classic on Gun Lake near Kalamazoo last week.

The victory won them $2,000 cash plus another $600 of gear from the Portage, Indiana Bass Pro Shops.

They bagged another $500 for catching the Money Mouth Baits Big bass of the tournament, a 4.17-pound largemouth. All of their fish were caught with D's Lures tubes and Poor Boy's Erie Darters in both green pumpkin and watermelon color schemes. They were matched up with 1/4 ounce D's Lures jigheads. Most fish came from a flat in just 2 feet of water, but the big fish came from 6 feet with the tube.

Kevin and Kelly Warner slung spinnerbaits in the channels to land 11.12 pounds to win $1,000 cash and $600 in Bass Pro Shops goodies for finishing second.

Tom Seljam (Hammond) and Jim Wheeler (Valparaiso) only caught six fish, but five were keepers totaling 10.48 pounds; good enough to win $800. All of the fish came from humps between 15-20 feet of water and were tricked by black homemade jigs paired up with Poor boy's chunk trailers.

The R&B Classic paid back more than $8,000 while the season produced nearly $29,000 in prize money. More info is available at www.randbbasscircuit.com.
