Bill Whitaker (Middleburg) and Tony Koser (Warsaw) won the U.S. Anglers Choice season finale under tough fishing conditions on Winona Lake recently.

The winners ($1,020) caught 9.99 pounds in less than 10 feet of water on Poor Boy darters and homemade jigs.

Briana Whitaker (Warsaw) and Brandon Elliot (Warsaw) were second ($585) with 9.87 pounds. All were caught on tubes and worms around the piers.

Paul Hollabaugh (Ft. Wayne) and Frank Berning (Ft. Wayne) finished third ($256) with four fish weighing 9.33 pounds. Their fish came on Stanley jigs and wacky worms on the inside weeds in 5 to 10 feet. Big Bass for the tournament ($180) was a 4.52-pound largemouth caught by the Rich Kersten and Jeff Noll.

There were 25 fish weighed in for a total weight of 64.41 pounds.
