If Matt Arey’s boat number at this year’s Bassmaster Classic is any indication of good things to come, then #22 might just lead to first place. Arey is the ultimate ‘girl dad’ and his two young daughters love Taylor Swift’s hit song “22”.
Jacob Wheeler set out to develop a new swimbait with the product engineers at Rapala, but he didn’t want a situational tool – he wanted a soft swimbait that would catch fish from coast to coast, 12 months out of the year.
Mike Frank of Dialed-In Charters will discuss king salmon fishing at the Michiana Steelheaders meeting Wednesday, Sept. 5. The meeting is open to the public.
Frank will share tactics for catching kings from Lake Michigan and the St. Joseph River. The program begins at 7:30 at the De Amicis Club in Mishawaka, 302 W. 11th St.

The last thing you want to worry about when deer hunting is if you have the right license for the right deer season.
The new deer license bundle makes such worries a thing of the past. With it, one license can be used in multiple seasons. The bundle can be used in youth, archery, firearms, muzzleloader, and special antlerless seasons, and allows for the harvest of one antlered and two antlerless deer. All legal equipment that can be used in these seasons may be used withthe deer bundle, including crossbows.
