Former Mishawaka native John Fuchs

Former Mishawaka native John Fuchs, who now lives in Florida, won the Kayak Bass Bracket National Championship recently on Reelfoot Lake, Tenn.

Fuchs, who won $10,000, had 16.25 inches of bass in the championship round to beat out Eric Siddiqi who had 15 inches.

Fuchs, a former member of the St. Joe Valley Bassmasters, won $30,000 prize in The Bass Federation Championship as a co-angler in 2019.

He now lives in Ellenton, Fla.
