The father/son team of Ed and Steven Szymczak (Osceola) teamed up to win the Michiana Walleye Association tournament on Lake Maxinkuckee in Culver last week.

The winners used Berkly Flicker Shad crankbaits to catch 8.79 pounds. Second place was Barry Ukele (Mishawaka) and Don Shelton (Berrien Center, Mich.) with 3.78 pounds caught on jigs and crawlers in deep weed beds. Les Bontrager (Wakarusa) and Shawn Blosser (Wakarusa) were third with the big fish of 2.50 pounds worth $280, caught on floating jig and crawlers in 24 feet.
