Michiganders have one chance to defend the right to hunt, fish and trap from out-of-state anti-hunters for good.

Scientific Wildlife Management legislation before the state senate will make sure that game management decisions are made by sound science, not ballot-box biology. If sportsmen don't take advantage of this opportunity, anti groups will come back to our state again and again to attack those rights to hunt, fish and trap.

Just as they did with the dove hunting bill and the way they’re doing now over this new legislation.

Senate bills 288 and 289 protect the right to hunt fish and trap, provides free licenses to active duty members of the military, provides conservation funding for fish and game management, and grants the Natural Resources Commission authority to issue fisheries regulations and concurrent authority with the legislature to designate a game species.

The Humane Society of the United States has funded opposition to these bills and has been making robo-calls to our state legislators and we've been hearing disturbing rumors that some Senators are starting to feel the pressure. Is yours?

The antis also are airing television commercials filled with anti-hunting propaganda as well.

Contact your Michigan state senator now and urge him to support these bills and ignore the financially strong anti-hunting groups like the Humane Society of the United States.
