Lake St Clair, Lake Erie, and Detroit River legend angler Heath Wagner takes the Hunter of Fish, Andy Buss, and Kerry Frey on a smallmouth bass fishing trip on this world-famous waterway. We launched from the Lake Erie Metropark and fish in and around the mouth of the Detroit River in Michigan and Canadian waters. Heath Wagner shares how to find prime smallmouth habitat and the habit of smallmouth bass during the fall. We caught 48 keeper sized smallmouth bass on a combination of drop shot rigs, erie darters, hair jigs, and blade baits. Our best five smallmouth bass weighed just under 24 pounds.
