Fish GuardianFish GuardianIt doesn’t matter whether you fish tournaments seriously or casually, keeping your fish healthy is critical to competitive success.

Most anglers know to add a livewell treatment chemical periodically, especially on a hot day or when the livewell is brimming with big bass. Many of these chemical additives restore the slime that protects the bass and keeps them lively.

However, locating your additive and dispensing the correct amount can be a problem; the Fish Guardian kit resolves all of that.

When installed on your boat, a quick push of a button sends the proper amount of juice into the tanks. There’s no mess with bottles or tablets that can dry out or get mushed into the carpet.

The Guardian comes with a heavy duty reservoir and 12-volt electrical pump that is installed in the bilge area with tubing carrying the solution into the livewell wall. When wired to a button installed on the console, anglers don’t have to raise lids to treat their wells.

The Guardian can dispense any liquid or powder live release formula, but tends to be best suited for liquid chemicals like TH Marine’s G Juice.

The unit installs in an hour and fits most fishing boats. It sells for $99.95 for the kit and $7.99 for accessory bracket, if needed. It’s offered at Lake Drive Marine in Coldwater, Mich. and D&R Sports Center in Kalamazoo. Or, visit www.fishguardian.com for more information or call 888-544-2035.
