Sufix ProMix Braided Fishing Line

With input from Rapala’s top fishing pros, Sufix has developed a premium braided fishing line that will long retain its color without costing too much green.

New Sufix ProMix Braid combines all the benefits of premium braid with ultra-longevity, buoyancy and an innovative colorfast technology.

“We took every characteristic that pros tell us they want in a braid – zero stretch, high abrasion resistance, floatation, tight weave and roundness – and on top of that, made it so it would hold its color for twice as long,” said Ben Miller, Sufix® Fishing Product Development Manager. “And we’ve done it at a price point you can appreciate if you fish a few times a year or every week.”

A densely braided, but thin line made with HMPE fibers and a high weave-count, Sufix ProMix provides consistent quality, superior knot and shock strength and increased abrasion resistance and line performance. Its low-stretch qualities provide exceptional lure control, ultimate bite detection and firm hook-setting power. An innovative color-injection process ensures the line will retain its low-vis green color two times longer than other braids.

“Don’t be surprised if your favorite T-shirt fades before this braid does,” Miller said. “After testing it for more than a year, the test results revealed that if you put it on a percentage scale of how long your line will hold its color, it’s got more than twice the longevity – 90% color retention for ProMix vs. 40 to 45 percent for other competitive braids.”

With a suggested retail of $12.99 for a 150-yard spool, Sufix ProMix Braid comes in four spool sizes:

• 150-yard and 300-yard spools are available in nine strengths (6, 10,15, 20, 30, 40, 50, 65 and 80-pound-test); and
• 1,200-yard and 3,500-yard spools are available in eight strengths (10, 15, 20, 30, 40, 50, 65 and 80-pound-test).

Ten-pound test ProMix braid boasts a diameter of only 0.008 inches (0.20 mm) -- equivalent to the diameter of 4-pound-test monofilament line. Forty-pound test ProMix braid has a diameter of only 0.013 inches (0.33 mm) -- equivalent to the diameter of 10-pound-test mono line. And, 80-pound-test ProMix braid features a diameter of only 0.018 inches (0.45 mm) -- equivalent to the diameter of 20-pound-test mono.
