Rain didn’t dampen the spirits of 14 Casting Couples contestants in the season finale at Magician Lake last weekend.
Man, you talk about a close finish! It doesn’t get much closer than what the Arjay’s Classic experienced at Paw Paw Lake on Saturday.
The ClapTailâ„¢ 110 is a topwater bait with a metal prop and back blade that collide when retrieved, producing a unique two-tone fish-attracting sound.
Rick Kediks 8th annual Bassmaster Classic Party at Beef OBradys in Granger will be held Feb. 22 and the public is invited.
The get-together is open to anyone who would like to watch live viewing of the final Bassmaster Classic weigh-in. The Classic is held on Lake Hartwell, S.C. Feb. 20-22.
Although the ESPN TV production wont be viewed until later, Beef OBradys will livestream the online production in a banquet room that has two large screen TVs. The restaurant will supply free chips and salsa.
In addition, Clear H2o will be on hand displaying the latest in Michiana bass tackle and anglers are encouraged to bring tackle to sell or swap. Tournament groups will be passing out fliers for contests slated for this year. For more information, call Kedik at 269-240-4917.

Brian Glover shows off 2 of the 21 catfish he caught through the ice.The only thing missing at the Bremen, Ind. Conservation Club Ice Fishing Derby last month was Rod Serling introducing another bizarre segment of the legendary 1950s TV series, The Twilight Zone.
Serling would have been standing in the foreground of a group of joyous ice anglers probing the depths of Lake of the Woods, a popular fishing lake south of South Bend.
He would look stoically into the camera and say, Brian Glover and his buddies from Kimmell, Ind. drove to this northern Indiana natural lake thinking theyd catch a few fish and perhaps win some money. What they didnt know was that they were crossing over into the Twilight Zone.
