Ever wonder what’s going on beneath the water of your favorite lake?

A new item we’ve added to Michiana Outdoors News will provide a little insight.

Beginning this week, we’ve added “Lake Studies” under our “News” heading. These are overviews of research projects conducted by district fishery biologists.

Although somewhat technical in nature, you will be able to glean information about each lake or river’s fish population, habitat and recommendations biologists have for improving those fisheries.

They also provide a historical overview of each fishery to give you an idea of how those waters have changed.

Our initial reports are from Michigan but we are trying to obtain similar reports from Indiana. We will let you know when new reports are posted. Watch our home page for updates.
