D&R Sports Center will hold its 25th annual two-day Spring Fishing & Boat Show March 29-30 at its Kalamazoo store.
Former Bassmaster Classic winner Dave Hite and four of this year’s Bassmaster Classic qualifiers - Skeet Resse, Ish Monroe, Davy Hite, Kevin VanDam and Jonathon VanDam - will present fishing seminars throughout the weekend.
Other experts giving seminars during the weekend include outdoor television host, Mark Zona, Lake St. Clair guide Gary Gostenik, and Lake Michigan smallmouth guide Chris Noffsinger.
The Berkley’s Experience Trailer also will be on hand. The 60-foot trailer offers videos and interactive demonstrations on the latest lines and baits. Berkley’s staff will be at D&R Sports to help anglers of all ages and experience levels learn about fishing, Berkley products, and how best to use them to catch more fish.

Jonathon VanDamOne of professional bass fishing’s hot young anglers, Jonathon VanDam, a 2013 Bassmaster Classic qualifier, is now using Shimano reels, G.Loomis rods, and PowerPro braided line to fish against the top anglers in the world, announces Brian Nolte, Shimano American Corp.’s retail services senior manager.
“Not only are we pleased to support an angler who has used our tackle for most of his young life,” said Nolte, “but he also knows the Shimano, G.Loomis and PowerPro products well and will be a great product advocate on the tournament trail and when helping anglers at D&R Sports Center, his family’s tackle shop in Kalamazoo, Mich.”
