The Bremen Conservation Club will host its 13th Annual Ice Fishing Derby Saturday, Feb. 13 at Lake of the Woods, Bremen, Indiana.

The derby was originally scheduled for Jan. 30 but officials said they didnít think ice would be safe enough so it was postponed until the 13th.

Registration begins at 5 a.m. at the Community Building and fishing will be from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Entry fee is $10.

The Club will again involve the Bremen Boys and Girls Club and will again share proceeds with them.

Cash prizes of $200 for first place to $25 for fifth place will be awarded for contestants who catch the ìlongestî total length of legal fish. Only fish over six inches will be measured. Youth prizes will range from an ice fishing shelter to a $50 gift card. A $25 bonus will be given for the single longest fish measured.

Fishermen, as well as non-fishermen, who wish to donate the $10 entry fee are eligible for a $250, $150, and $100 cash raffle and door prizes. There also will be a pancake and sausage, biscuit and gravy all-you-can-eat breakfast for $4, from 5-9:30 a.m. Lunch will also be available and will be served to fishermen on the lake (again ice conditions permitting) and to the non-fishing public at the Community Building.

Drawings for other prizes include a guided bass fishing trip for two on a local lake and an Aqua-Vu Model AV Micro Plus underwater camera.
