Want to add a little competition to your ice fishing experience?
Clear H2o Tackle in Edwardsburg is sponsoring a northern pike ice fish derby on Eagle Lake Feb. 13.
Entry fee is $20 per person for the pike division. All entry money will be paid back in cash awards for the biggest pike, with 50 percent going to the winner, 30 percent for second and 20 percent for third.
In addition, the derby will offer $5 side bets for the biggest bluegill, perch, crappie or sunfish caught during derby hours. You must declare which side pot bets you are registering for at the time of the entry.
In addition, local State Farm Agent Rocky Enfield will kick in $50 for each side pot division. Also, special drawings for products will be held at the shop during the weigh-in.
Tournament hours are 7-3 with the weigh-in at Clear H2o Tackle. All entries must be paid and all contestants must sign a waiver of liability to be eligible by Feb. 12.
Offsite parking near Eagle Lake will be available in designated areas on Brady Road.
