The winners show off a couple of their winning fish.

Ed Szymczak (Osceola) and Shawn Kintigh (Goshen) teamed up to win the Michiana Walleye Association Crown Trophy/Doug Burkhead Challenge on Winona Lake last weekend.

The winners had 11.84 pounds caught by jigging crawlers on steep breaks in 14 to 20 feet of water. The duo also won the ClearH2O Tackle Big Fish prize with a 4.73-pound walleye.

Don Shelton (Berrien Center) and Dwight Jones (Mishawaka) were second with 10.87 pounds caught on jigs with leeches around shallow weed beds. They also had second big fish, 4.56 pounds.

Ken Schrock (New Paris) and Dave Hochstetler (Mishawaka) were third with 8.16 pounds caught in 6 feet of water with jigs and crawlers.

The team of Jim Molnar Jr. and Sr. (South Bend) took the Trailmaster Trailers Reward with 6.10 pounds for being the highest placing team owning and using a Trailmaster trailer.
