Hunter and Mark Zona won the Southwest Michigan Anglers Club (SMAC) tournament on Klinger Lake last weekend with five bass weighing 13.27 pounds.
The winners ($315) caught their fish from water depths ranging from 2-32 feet on Strike King Jigs.
Randy Kafka and Jeff Stankavinch were second ($200) with an 11.28-pound limit caught in 6 to 8 feet of water on tubes.
Bret Gessinger and Mike Vanderryden were third ($120) with 10.81 pounds that included the big bass of the event ($100), a 4.24-pound largemouth. Their fish came on drop shot rigs in 12 to 15 feet while the big fish took a Senko.
Scott Crocker and Terry Smith were fourth ($60) with 9.61 pounds caught in 15 to 20 feet on Big Snacks Custom Baits and Scott Kulp and Terry Eldredge were fifth ($40) with 8.52 pounds caught on tubes in 22 feet.
