Derrick Allred and Kyle Leamer, Cedar Lake Winners

Derrick Allred and Kyle Leamer (Coloma) caught 11 pounds, 2 ounces of bass at Cedar Lake to win the Clear H2o Big Bass Challenge last weekend.

The winners ($245) caught their fish on shaky heads in 10 to 12 feet of water.

Buck Mallory (Lawton, Mich.) and Steve York (Bronson, Mich.) were second ($150) with 10-7 caught on drop-shot rigs in 15 to 20 feet.

Clint Marlar (Hobart) and Phil Duracz were third ($65) with 9-4 caught on worms along the outside weed edge. Louie Stout and Chuck Powell were fourth with 9-2 and won the big bass pot ($65) with a 3-6 largemouth caught on football jigs.

The next regular event is Aug. 6 at Lake of the Woods (Decatur, Mich.) from 7-2. Also, there are still spots left on Eagle Lake for the Clear H2o Big Money event July 31. The field is limited to 20 boats on Eagle and 20 on Juno. The Juno field is full. Register at Clear H2o.
