John Hempel (Westville, Ind.) and Phil Stakrowski (LaPorte) won the Collins Realty and Culver Marina benefit bass tournament on Lake Maxinkuckee recently.

The winners had five bass weighing 10.4 pounds.  Rick and Hunter Patton (Plymouth) were second with 9.9 pounds and Rick and Janice Hite (Plymouth) were third with 9.8 pounds. Randy Burkett and Jon Van Horn (Culver) won big bass honors with a largemouth weighing 3.1 pounds.

There were 17 limits caught, all weighing more than 8 pounds or more each. Proceeds from the tournament went to the Culver Kiwanis.
