Heavy rain made for tough fishing conditions for the teams fishing Arjay’s Thursday Nighter on Portage Lake, but the fish – and some dandies - still bit pretty well.
Justin and Hunter Kosmerick - 1st Place
Especially for Justin and Hunter Kosmerick, who won with a 12.98 limit. They caught their fish on jerk baits in shallow water.
Gary Butcher and Scott Smith - 2nd Place
Gary Butcher and Scott Smith were second with 8.56 pounds. They found their fish with Butcher's Baits wacky worms and stick baits in shallow water.
Kent Dowden - 3rd Place
Kent Dowden fished alone for third place with an 8.38–pound limit caught on jigs and frogs.
Ray Lohr and Charlie Fouts - 4th Place
Ray Lohr and Charlie Fouts were fourth with 5 fish weighing in at 7.56 pounds. They found their fish with chatterbaits in 10 feet of water.
The Tackleshack Big Bass Prize went to Ryan Hershberger and Dale Raber with a largemouth weighing 4.42 pounds and the Jaywalker Junk Fish honor went to Heath Musall and George Musall with a rock bass weighing in at a whopping 0.46 pounds.
John Jon Walkinhood and Greenwald took home the Clear H2O gift card for being first out of the money, Jeremy Daniels and Ben Miller won the Yoder's Custom Baits for being second out of the money and Hershberger and Raber pocketed the Michianaoutdoorsnews.com tackle pack for third out of the money.
