Kyle Kaiser and Ian Horvath - 1st Place
Despite high muddy water, Kyle Kaiser and Ian Horvath put together a 10.51-pound sack of bass on the St. Joseph River over the weekend to win the Michiana Fishing League tourney.
The Maggies Landing stretch in Mishawaka offered less than two inches of water clarity due to recent heavy rains.
Most of the anglers relied on spinnerbaits and bladed jigs to draw reaction strikes while some had success in the clearer water in the channels.
Steve Martin and Kyle Banks - 2nd Place
Steve Martin and Kyle Banks were second with 7.40 pounds that included a 2.89-pound big bass of the tourney.
Kasey Conklin and Cal Ditmar were third with 5.30 punds and Jerem and Lane Groves won the critter pot with an 0.26-pound bluegill.
Conklin Custom Baits and Springman’s Jigs provided handmade lures for the big bass pot.
