Billy Mathews and Pete Lombardo didn’t catch much weight, but they got enough to win the Southwest Michigan Anglers Club tournament on Millpond (Dowagiac, Mich.)
The winners had 7 pounds, 11 ounces caught on frogs and jigs in shallow water.
Zack McNary and Jay Shires were second with only two fish that weighed 6.01 pounds, one of which was a 3.83 largemouth that won them the big bass pot. They also fished jigs shallow.
Rick Kedik and Wyatt Gerner only had one fish weighing 3.73 pounds but it was good enough for third place.
The tournament drew nine boats that caught 8 bass.
