Strike King Report

Strike King Fat Coffee TubeStrike King Fat Coffee Tube

Due to requests from bass anglers, the popular Coffee Tube is now offered in a 2.75-inch size Coffee Fat Tube.

“The new 2.75 Fat Tube is great size and shape for big smallies,” says Kalamazoo’s Jonathon VanDam. “There are times when the size of the forage, the water clarity and even the angling pressure makes going to this slightly smaller tube a great choice.”

The profile of the 2.75 perfectly imitates the size of Gobies that have become a food source for giant smallmouth in a lot of northern fisheries, VanDam added.

The Coffee Fat Tube is infused with Strike King’s signature Coffee Scent. It will be offered in 11 colors, some of which are new and pro-inspired for 2019.

Garmin Expands Panoptix LiveScope by Offering New TransducerGarmin Expands Panoptix LiveScope by Offering New Transducer

Garmin International announced the Panoptix LiveScope™ LVS12, a new transducer in the Panoptix LiveScope series that offers both 30-degree forward and 30-degree down real-time scanning sonar views.

The single-array LiveScope LVS12 transducer is an economical solution for inland and near-shore anglers without the need for a black box. Garmin’s Panoptix all-seeing sonar technology was the first to deliver live sonar images in real-time – forwards, backwards, and below the boat – even while stationary. Now, thanks to the active scanning capabilities of Panoptix LiveScope, anglers can see images and movement so clear and precise that it’s even possible to distinguish between species of fish.

Hackey’s Pad Perch Will Walk Through Cover and Hook Up Big BassHackey’s Pad Perch Will Walk Through Cover and Hook Up Big Bass

The processes and materials Strike King uses to build its Sexy Frog and Popping Perch have proven to be favorites among anglers. For 2019, the company has added the Hack Attack Pad Perch designed to walk through thick cover.

“I rely heavily on a walking hollow body to get bites in the thick, shallow cover, but one of the biggest problems with most baits is that they won’t walk through thick cover and still be able to hook what bites them,” says pro Greg Hackney. “We utilized some of the design features of the Popping Perch in order to maximize the hook up ratio and durability, but we changed the profile in the Pad Perch to make it more conducive to fishing it in the thickest cover that bass swim in.”

The Hack Attack Pad Perch is 4 inches from nose to tail. It features a 4/0 premium, black nickel frog hook and comes in 10 awesome colors.
