This is the time of year anglers are reading about new products for the upcoming season.

There are a lot of cool things for anglers out there but not all of them get the attention they deserve. They remain obscure unless you hear about them from another angler.

Well, I’m here to tell about a little known company that offers a lot of cool “solutions” for annoyances that Michiana anglers often encounter. Company personnel know those problems because they are on the water several days a week.

The company is Rapid Fishing Solutions (https://www.rapidfishingsolutions.com/). Here are four of the products I’ve tried and recommend. We will cover three more tomorrow:

Drop-shot keeper

I’ve tried a number of ways to keep my drop shot sinker and line from tangling. This one works – and is so darn simple!

Simply hold the line next to the rod blank and snap the Keeper over the line and blank. It keeps the drop sinker from tangling with other lines. The Drop-Shot Keeper comes three per pack for $5.99.

Hook-All

Rapid Fishing Hook-AllRapid Fishing Hook-AllTired of Texas-rigged soft plastics sliding down on your hook? Want to keep spinnerbait trailer hooks secured?

The Hook-All Tool and replacement discs provide an easy way to do both.

Merely thread your soft plastic on as normal, place one of the plastic discs into the holder then force the barb through the plastic. Slide the disc up to the backside of the soft bait to help hold the lure in place. It holds spinnerbait trailer hooks similarly.

You get the tool and a package of clear discs for $13.99.

The company also offers replacement discs in black, red and white.

Tube Jig Spinners

These little spinners that fasten over the hook and trail behind may be just the added incentive needed to get more bites on a tough day. The spinner is secured by using Rapid’s Hook-All Tool and discs.

The kit comes with four spinners, two Colorado and two willowleaf blades in gold and silver, for $5.99. They are offered in small and large sizes.

Pin Tail Spinners

Rapid Fishing Pin Tail SpinnersRapid Fishing Pin Tail SpinnersThese spinners are designed for adding to the tail end of a Ned worm or other finesse bait. Poke the wire end and twist into the tail of your plastic and the blade will spin from behind. They come four to a package, in silver and gold and in Colorado and willowleaf blades. Retail is $5.99. You can also purchase a tool for boring a hole into the tail of tough Z-Man and Elaztech plastics. The Soft Plastic Reamer Tool is $5.99.
