The River Black Bass Summit will be at the Hendricks County 4-H Fairgrounds in Danville, Ind. March 8 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is open to the public. This free event is hosted by the Indiana Smallmouth Alliance at the Conference Center. Lunch will be provided, with donations accepted.

Guest speakers will present results from stream surveys conducted on the St. Joseph and Eel Rivers, an overview of the regulation process, and update on the black bass tag reward study.

“There are several significant black bass projects going on in Indiana and this will give us a great opportunity to get that information out to anglers and the public,” says DNR fisheries research biologist Sandy Clark-Kolaks.

New black bass regulations went into effect in 2012, on rivers and streams in Indiana. This summit will allow anglers and biologists to discuss ongoing research on these regulation changes and discuss effects.
