SCHAUMBURG, IL -- The Chicagoland Fishing, Travel & Outdoor Expo featuring big name pro seminars and major tackle brand exhibits will be held Jan. 29-Feb. 1 at the Schaumburg Convention Center.

The seminar lineup includes Michael Iaconelli, Gerald "G-Man" Swindle, Jacob Powroznik, Derek Yamamoto, Tommy Skarlis, and Marianne Huskey. Numerous regional pros will also offer their expertise.

The show covers every fishing style and the pursuit of species ranging from bass to musky, salmon to trout, and panfish to pike.

The Expo packs more than 100,000 square feet of exhibits of fishing tackle, local retailers, custom rod and tackle builders, charter boat captains, fishing guides and fish camps from across North America.

The Boatyard brings displays and show deals from Lund, Crestliner, Ranger, Tuffy, Prince Craft, Sea Ark, Alumacraft, Bayliner, Avalon, Sun Tracker, Tahoe, Crest, Smokercraft and more.

The Expo features Shimano, Daiwa, Okuma, St. Croix, Temple Fork Outfitters, Gamma Fishing Line, Rapala, Plano, G. Loomis, Frabill, Ardent, Garmin, Eagle Claw, Seaguar Fishing Line, PowerPro, Raymarine, Livingston Lures, Stormr and Joe Bucher Outdoors, to highlight just a sampling.

In addition, smaller custom tackle makers will also be on hand and offering products not found in mail-order catalogues or big box stores.

On Jan. 30, musky seminars will be presented all day by some of the best musky anglers in the business, including Jim Saric, Joe Bucher, Mike Hulbert, Chris Taurisano, and Duane Serck. That evening, all five pros will attend a question-and-answer forum, hosted by Jim Saric. Two lucky attendees will win a $1,000 musky tackle package, including a St. Croix rod, Daiwa reel, Stormr Strykr Jacket, Plano Tackle Management Pack, and Joe Bucher Outdoors lures.

The also show offers a 50-foot casting pond for trying out the new rods and reels featured at the Expo. Orvis will conduct daily Fly Fishing classes geared toward novice casters of all ages. Each day will also bring demonstrations by fly fishing experts; adults and kids can sit and learn the fine art of fly tying from some of the best throughout the show.

Admission is $12 for adults and $3 for children ages 5 to 11. Children under age five are admitted free with a paying adult. Tickets may be purchased online at www.sportshows.com.

Show hours are Thursday and Friday, noon to 8 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
