Lake Drive Marine has been around for 38 years and for good reason.
The Coldwater, Mich. marina has serviced a variety of boat customers over the years and specializes in fishing boats.
It’s handy, too. The marina has immediate access to Coldwater and Long lakes, so you can get an on-the-water test of any boat you’re looking to buy.
They currently sell Lund, Skeeter, Phoenix and Icon boats. They are longtime Mercury and Yamaha outboard dealers.
They’ll also customize a rig with any electronics you want, says co-owner Jeff Uetrecht, who shares ownership with his wife Julie and friends John and Kelly Foust.
“If you want six fishing electronics on the bow, we’ll find a way to do it,” he insists. “When we sell a boat, we put the customer with our boat rigger to find out just how he wants it. We make sure everything is wired properly and secure.”
Lake Drive sold about 140 boats last year and repowered dozens. The company custom-rigs about 100 boats a year for customers.
“It’s not just for bass fishermen, either,” says Uetrecht. “We’ve put forward facing sonar, Humminbird 360 and other big electronics on Lunds for bluegill fishermen.”
Lund Boats are sold with Trailmaster Trailers while other boats come with boat manufactuers’ trailers. However, the marina also sells Trailmaster Trailers for whatever rig you need outfitted.
Its rigging staff is Yamaha and Mercury certified and handles boat repairs as well. Lake Drive also is a certified dealer for Minn Kota, Motor Guide, Garmin and Power Pole Move trolling motors.
