Teddy Bradley (Mishawaka) and Mark Fennell (Lagrange) fished spawning bass in channels and on the main lake to catch 16.27 pounds and win the R&B Bass Circuit West Division event on Winona Lake last weekend.
The winners pocketed $719 and earned a bonus $76 for having the second largest bass of the day, a 3.85-pound largemouth.
The team fished green pumpkin/purple D's Lures tubes with 1/8-ounce tube jigs.
Andy Buss (North Liberty) and John DuPont (North Liberty) also targeted spawning largemouth bass on the main lake to piece together a 15.67-pound limit to win $440. Their limit also included the Native Pride Tackle Big Bass, a 3.93 pounder, worth another $303. They tricked their fish with Xtreme Bass Tackle tubes in the alewife color scheme and drop-shot rigs with finesse worms.
Middlebury residents Jason Schwartz and Brian Miller targeted spawning largemouth bass in the channels with drop shot rigs and collected a 14.38-pound limit to win $280.
