Mike Minix (Edwardsburg) and Dave Hoffman

Mike Minix (Edwardsburg) and Dave Hoffman caught a whopping 15 pounds, 1 ounce to win the Big Bass Challenge held recently on Juno/Eagle lakes.

The winners ($700) fished Juno Lake where they used Senkos in 5 to 8 feet of water. They also had big bass ($210) in the contest, a 4-pound, 6-ounce smallmouth.

Trevor Paulus (Edwardsburg) and Brad Sterling (Wakarusa) were second ($460) with 12 pounds, 6 ounces caught on jigs and crankbaits in 8-10 feet of water.

Doug and Jerry Rohr (Mishawaka) were third ($360) with 11 pounds, 1 ounce caught on topwaters and worms in 2-8 feet of water.
