Steve and Amy Martin (Union City, Mich.) caught a limit of five fish weighing 9.11 pounds to win the Casting Couples season finale on Magician Lake last weekend.
The Martins fished in 6-10 foot of water using Jigs and tubes to take home $215. They also had second Big Bass of the day with a 3.09-pound largemouth, earning a tackle pack from Money Mouth Baits.
Brian and Renee Hensley (Edwardsburg, Mich.) had five that weight 8.5 pounds to finish second ($110). The Hensleys used grubs and Kytek swimbaits.
Ron & Debbie Desimone (Elkhart, Ind.) fished all day on a shallow flat to catch a limit weighing 7.97 pounds to finish third ($60). They used wacky rigged worms and tubes.
Rob Swem and Kimm Siewert (Niles, Mich.) had only 3 fish weighing 7.87l pounds, but they also caught the tournament's biggest bass, a 4.33-pound smallmouth. They fished wacky-rigged worms to fool their fish. Rob & Kimm took home tackle pack from Native Pride baits for first out of the money and they earned $55 for Big Bass of the day.
Casting Couples had 60 members this year with 16 teams qualifying for the Classic to be held at Muskegon Lake Sept. 30th from 7:45am-3pm with a $60 entry.
