The father/daughter combo of John and Zoe Dixon (Elkhart) caught four keepers to win the Casting Couples tournament on Fishers Lake near Three Rivers, Mich. last weekend.

The event drew 20 teams.

The Dixons had 8.20 pounds on a day when the quality fishing on the lake didnít materialize. The winners ($280) used topwater, Senkos and jigs and won the big bass pot ($95) with a 3.49-pound smallmouth.

Carry and Loren Crosbie (South Bend) had 4 keepers totaling 7.38 pounds for second ($160).†The Crosbie's used wacky-style rigged worms and had the second largest bass, a 3.18-pound smallmouth.

Jake and Stephine Lisenko (South Bend)Jake and Stephine Lisenko (South Bend)

Jake and Stephine Lisenko (South Bend) had three bass totaling 4.69 pounds caught on Native Pride 3/8-ounce bluegill-color jigs for third place ($115).

Rob Swem and Kimm Siewert (Niles) were fourth ($60) with 4.34 pounds caught on Yamamoto Grubs in 6 foot of water.

The next Casting Couples regular season event is at Randall Chain Waffle Farm July 1. Teams must consist of one male and one female. Entry is $50.
