Arjay’s Report
Portage Lake wasn’t in the mood to give up fish last week during the Arjay’s Weeknight event as only one small limit was caught among the 21 teams.
Mike and Shawn McCann - 1st Place
Mike and Shawn McCann - Junk Fish
Mike and Shawn McCann had that limit on the lake near Schoolcraft, Mich. and won with 8.40 pounds. They also secured the Jaywalker Junk Fish prize with a dogfish that weighed 3.84 pounds. They caught their fish flipping weeds and docks in less than two feet of water, although one fish came out of nine feet.
Todd Mason and Edie Wilkinson - 2nd Place
Todd Mason and Edie Wilkinson were second with 7.18 pounds and it included the Tackle Shack big bass with a 2.62-pound largemouth. They dragged jigs through grass edges in 6 to 8 feet of water.
Arthur Lambert and Danny Proud were third with four bass weighing 6.54 pounds while Joshua Leonard and Justin Groff were fifth with four weighing 5.90.
The Clear H2O first out of the money prize went to Justin Spence with 4 fish weighing in at 5.60#.
