Jimmy Brown and Larry Reyes - 1st Place

Jimmy Brown and Larry Reyes continued their hot streak and figured out a winning plan to win the two-day Michiana Fishing League Classic last weekend.

The tournament for 13 teams was held on Portage Lake Saturday and the St. Joseph River at Buchanan Sunday. Starboard Choice Mariana co-sponsored the event with swag for the anglers this weekend.

Brown and Reyes used finesse and power tactics for a combined, two-day weight of 16.32 pounds.

Jeremy Bunnell and Jim Wheeler - 2nd Place

Second place went to Jeremy Bunnell and Jim Wheeler who had 15.48 caught on chatterbaits and jigs while John Gipson and Ken Holder were third with 14.58 pounds.

Joel Thomas Laskowski and Katie Cleaves - 4th Place

Joel Thomas Laskowski and Katie Cleaves were fourth with 14.17 pounds and won the big bass pot with a 3.62-pound largemouth caught from Portage.

Kasey Conklin and Cameron Meade - 5th Place

Kasey Conklin and Cameron Meade were fifth with 11.52 pounds.
