Classic contenders fished the St. Joseph River at Benton Harbor on Saturday and the Kalamazoo River at Saugatuck Sunday. Both bodies of water fished tough. There was no specific pattern, as fish were caught from 2 to 20 feet and on A-rigs, jerkbaits, frogs, Ned rigs, deep and shallow crankbaits, jigs and Senkos.

“The top three teams were running all over the river both days trying to put together a good pattern,” said tournament director John Gipson.
