Ryan and Alyssa Yoder (Bristol, Ind.) - 1st Place
Ryan and Alyssa Yoder (Bristol, Ind.) used spinnerbaits to catch 11.88 pounds and win the Casting Couples Classic at Duck Lake in Interlochen, Mich. recently.
Each of the 10 competing teams weighed in a limit and most had five in the livewell within the first two hours of the tournament.
They Yoders pocketed $700 for first and another $50 and Extreme Bass Tackle goodies for catching the biggest bass of the tourney, a 2.94 pounder. They had their limit within an hour and half, fishing spinnerbaits over weeds in 6 feet of water.
Loren and Carry Crosbie (Osceola, Ind.) - 2nd Place
Loren and Carry Crosbie (Osceola, Ind.) were second ($400) with 11.80 pounds. They also had the second biggest bass to win $30 and an Extreme Bass Tackle Pack. The Crosbies used Tubes on flats in 6 feet to catch their smallmouth.
en Harrison and Nicci Huneke (Portage, Mich.) - 3rd Place
Ben Harrison and Nicci Huneke (Portage, Mich.) were third ($220) with 11.23 pounds. They fished drop-shot rigs, jigs and crankbaits in 10 feet of water. They also won the biggest rock bass pot worth $40.
ick and Jennifer Kedik (South Bend.) - 4th Place
Rick and Jennifer Kedik (South Bend.) were fourth ($100) with 10.15 pounds to earn them $100. The Kediks used swimbaits in 6-10 feet around sparse weeds.
Casting Couples will host fall opens beginning Oct. 23 at Diamond Lake with the rest of the schedule at Benton Harbor. They are 1 or 2 person team events with $50 entry fee, 4-fish limit and hours of 8-1.
