Wheeler and Smith Win Big $$ in R&B Classic at Gun Lake

Jim Wheeler and Ray Smith - 1st Place

Jim Wheeler and Ray Smith caught 24.71 pounds to win the two-day R&B Classic on Gun Lake last weekend.

Wheeler and Smith won $2,000 and a bonus $100 for the big bass of Day 2 with a 3.69-pound largemouth. They fished wacky-rigged worms around grass in 2-4 feet and weighted wacky rigs in 5-8 feet.

John Gipson and Kris Iodice - 2nd Place

John Gipson and Kris Iodice were second ($1,500) with 24.40. They also had the big bass on Day 1 ($100) with a 4.41 largemouth.  They caught their bass on jigs and topwater in 2-6 feet of water. 

Terry Schoettmer and David Brown - 3rd Place

Doug Fasick and Scott Brown - 4th Place

Brad and Clay Sterling - 5th Place

Terry Schoettmer and David Brown were third ($1,000) with 18.96, Doug Fasick and Scott Brown fourth ($600) with 18.83 and Brad and Clay Sterling fifth ($378) with 18.51.

Gipson and Iodice also won the Super Tournaments and Regular Season Team of the Year Awards.
