Casting Couples Report

Loren and Carrie Crosbie - 1st Place

Loren and Carrie Crosbie (Osceola) had a limit of five bass totaling 11.55 pounds to win the Casting Couples tournament on Pine and Stone lakes in LaPorte, Ind.

The fish were biting as half the field weighed in limits.

The winners, who pocketed $250, also had the second biggest bass of the day with a 2.77-pound largemouth. They said they had a limit within 45 minutes by using finesse worms in 3-6 feet of water.

Jim and Merle Hobbs - 2nd Place

Jim and Merle Hobbs (LaPorte) had a limit weighing 8.97 pounds to earn $130. They used worms and creature baits in 6 foot or less. 

Pat Nalicki and Ada LaCluyse - 3rd Place

Jake and Kendra Lisenko - 4th Place

Pat Nalicki and Ada LaCluyse (South Bend) had a limit totaling 8.62 pounds to take home $75. They caught their fish on topwaters. Jake and Kendra Lisenko (South Bend) caught a limit in 30 minutes totaling 8.42 pounds for fourth.

John and Marcie Dixon - Big Bass

Big Bass of the day went to John and Marcie Dixon (Elkhart) with a 2.96-pound largemouth earning them $65.  Dixon's also won the 50/50-raffle, taking home $55.
