Justin Hahaj and Mike Rappette - 1st Place
Justin Hahaj and Mike Rappette won the Starboard Choice Marine Tournament on the St. Joseph River at Benton Harbor with 19.30 pounds of smallmouth bass.
Steven Esbin and Eric Havel - 2nd Place
Jeremy Groves and Kasey Conklin - 3rd Place
Steven Esbin and Eric Havel were second with 16.22 while Jeremy Groves and Kasey Conklin were third with 13.92. They also had big bass with a 4.35-pound smallmouth.
John Dixon - 4th Place
John Dixon was fourth with 11.94 pounds.
Fish were caught all over, from marinas to faster current. Dominate lures seemed to be soft plastics fished along current breaks, but a few fish were also caught on spinnerbaits up river.Â
The next tournament is Saturday, June 11 at Magician Lake. Â The hours are 6:30 - 2:30 and the entry fee is $70. Â Ken Holder will be giving free demo rides in a Caymas CX20 from Starboard Choice Marine during the weigh in.
