Tackle Shack Report
Kent Dowden - 1st Place
Not only did Kent Dowden sack up a big bag at Lake Templene, but he topped it with a 5.92-pound largemouth to win the Tackle Shack Open last weekend.
Templene’s bass were biting, as it took more than 10 pounds to finish in the top 10 on a lake that has been pretty stingy this season. All 25 teams caught five-fish limits.
Dowden got most of his 14.60-pound limit on a Mann’s Baby 1 Minus crankbait and a 10-inch worm with a ¼-ounce weight.
Randy Walls and Mark Flotow - 2nd Place
Randy Walls and Mark Flotow finished second with five weighing 14.54 pounds. They used Senkos and jigs in 2 feet of water or less.
Travor Nunemaker and Andrew Miller - 3rd Place
Travor Nunemaker and Andrew Miller skipped jigs under docks to finish third with five weighing 11.62 pounds.
Heath Musall and Tyler Philley - 4th Place
