Ryan Yoder and Chris Brundt - 1st Place
Ryan Yoder and Chris Brundt (Elkhart) won the CastingCouples Open on the St. Joseph River at the 6 Span Bridge Launch last weekend.
Yoder and Brunt had four bass over 15inches and one under 12inches totaling 12.46 pounds. They used jigs, topwater, and swimbaits to take home $200.
Lee Duracz and Jordan Morris (Syracuse) were second with10.82 pounds that included four over and one under. They also took home Big Bass honors with a 4.03-pound largemouth. They used wacky worms in channels to win $115.
John and Marshall Dixon (Elkhart) finished third with four bass over 15 inches totaling 9.93 pounds they caught by fishing jigs in the channels.
The next regular scheduled tournament is May 20 on Lake James. Participating teams must be one male and one female. The tournament will launch from the N.W. ramp on Jimmerson Lake. Tournament hours are 6:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., EST. Entry fee is $50 and includes the big bass pot.
