Ron and Conner Pickens - 1st Place

The father/son team of Ron and Conner Pickens won the Southwest Michigan Anglers Club Weeknight event on Eagle Lake last week.

The Pickens had 9.60 pounds on a wet, windy evening by fishing jigs in shallow water.

Tanner Hursh fished alone and caught a limit weighing 9.51 pounds to finish second by drop-shotting in 8 to 15 feet while Mike Fletcher and Rusty Robinson fished swim jigs to catch 9.32 pounds and finish third.

The big bass pot went to Chuck Powell and Louie Stout with a 3.51-pound largemouth caught on a spinnerbait.

Eleven of the 14 teams weighed in limits.
