Casting Couples Report

Scott and LeeAnn Sizemore (Angola) - 1st Place

Scott and LeeAnn Sizemore (Angola) squeaked by with a win over the nine other boats in the Casting Couples Open at Lake St. Clair last weekend.

The wind blew hard out of the north on practice day but moved to the south during competition making it a little easier to get around. All 10 teams weighed in a limit.

The Sizemores had 17.25 pounds caught on jigs in 6 to 10 feet of water which earned them $400. They also had the second biggest bass ($50) weighing 4.34 pounds that was caught on a topwater.

Mike Martin (LaPorte) and Tim Koch (Knox) - 2nd Place

Mike Martin (LaPorte) and Tim Koch (Knox) weighted in 17.19 pounds of smallmouth earning them $300 for second.  Martin and Koch also used jigs in the same depth range.

Rick Kedik and Jake Lisenko (South Bend) - 3rd Place

Rick Kedik and Jake Lisenko (South Bend) weighed in 17.12 pounds and had the biggest bass of the day with a 4.56-pound smallmouth.  Kedik and Lisenko used jigs in 8-10 foot of water to take home $200 total.
