Arjay’s Report
There were 26 boats participating in Arjay’s Wednesday nighter on Klinger and the fish were biting – but not the big ones.
Less than a pound separated the top six finishers.
Aaron and Cody Zimmerman - 1st Place
Aaron and Cody Zimmerman sneaked out the victory with five bass weighing 9.22 pounds . They fished drop-shot rigs.
Nate Ryan Yoder and Andrew Miller - 2nd Place
Nate Ryan Yoder and Andrew Miller weren’t far behind, with five for 9.08 pounds caught by using forward facing sonar on deep weedlines.
John Miller and Robbie Gibson - 3rd Place
John Miller and Robbie Gibson finished a hair shy of second place with their 9.04-pound limit caught by skipping docks.
Chris Yoder and Edward Bontrager - 4th Place
Fourth place (by way of tiebreaker) went to Chris Yoder and Edward Bontrager whose limit weighed 8.74 pounds and their largest fish was the difference maker. They fished the flats with jigs.
Steven Wickey and Jeremiah Yoder - 5th Place
They tied with Steven Wickey and Jeremiah Yoder who also had 8.74 pounds caught on wacky rigs around docks and the shoreline.
Tanner Hursh and Hailey Dodd - 6th Place
Tanner Hursh and Hailey Dodd fished jigs on the breaklines to finish sixth with five bass for 8.24 pounds.
Scott and Chase Carpenter - 7th Place
The ClearH2O Tackle first out of the money spot went to to Scott and Chase Carpenter with an 8.1- pound limit caught on crankbaits.
Josh Roberts and Steve Martin - 8th Place
The Michiana Outdoors News tackle pack was won by Josh Roberts and Steve Martin with 7.92 pounds caught on JackHammers and wacky riggs and the Jaywalker Restaurant junk fish pot was won by Anthony and Mason Sivits with a 5.86-pound pike.
Charlie Fouts and Ray Lohr - Big Bass
Charlie Fouts and Ray Lohr managed to find a good-sized bass, winning the Tackle Shack big bass pot with a 3.74-pound largemouth. They fooled the bass with a jig while fishing the flats.
Wednesday night’s event will be Clear H2o Tackle Night at Diamond Lake.
Side pot winners will get $50 ClearH2O cards and refreshments will be available at the weigh-in, compliments of ClearH2O Tackle in Edwardsburg.
