Kaser Takes All of the Big Money in Singles Event at Eagle

Kyle Kaser - 1st Place

Kyle Kaser fished shallow water to win the Michiana Singles Bass Circuit final regular season event in a shoot-out on Eagle Lake.

Kaser had 13.40 pounds and a 4.36-pound largemouth that also won him big bass honors. He said he used a wide variety of lures to catch his fish in shallow water and take home of $240. Kaser also had a 3-pound-plus smallmouth that he said he sight fished. 

Every team weighed in a limit.

Scott Crocker - 2nd Place

Scott Crocker had 9.92 pounds for second and that included the second largest bass in the event, a 3.04-pound largemouth.  Crocker said he fished jigs in 4-12 feet to earn $80.

Brent Burgess - 3rd Place

Third place went to Brent Burgess with 9.62 pounds. He fished jigs in 8 to 10 feet.

The Michiana Singles Classic will be held on Pawpaw Lake and the St. Joseph River at Benton Harbor Oct.12-13.
