David Hoeker and Kyle Borst kicked off the D&R Sports Center tournament season with a win at Muskegon Lake.

The winners sacked - 20.73 pounds that were anchored by a 4.38-pound smallmouth. No details on how they caught their fish were provided.

Jeff Elliot and Trevor Yount were a distant second with 17.80 pounds. Their biggest bass was a 4.33-pound smallmouth. Elliot said all of their fish were spawners they found during the tournament.

“They were tough to catch, and we rotated through different baits on dropshot rigs,” explained Elliot. “Several fish required a significant time investment. We did catch a bunch of keeper largemouth on a Roboworm too, but the fog delay and calm conditions in the morning hurt everyone's chances for quality largemouth."

Neil Vande Biezen and Luke Gritter - 3rd Place

Neil Vande Biezen and Luke Gritter were third with 15.84 pounds and they had the second biggest bass, 4.43 smallmouth.

Dustin Daggett and Carlos Vergara were fourth with 14.78 pounds.

Gary Diekevers and Ben Diekevers - 5th Place

Gary Diekevers and Ben Diekevers finished fifth with 14.26 pounds.

Big bass winners were Zach Wiggers and Nick Wiseman with a 4.95 pounder.
