Storm Report

Storm Speed Trap
Storm Speed Trap

The next time you want to stop bass in their tracks, run them down with a Storm Speed Trap.

This new shallow-medium, high speed rattling crankbait features a unique, thin-wall construction for maximum vibration. It excels when run at high retrieve speeds, allowing bass anglers to cover water fast.

The Speed Trap is an incredible search bait that allows anglers to cover water fast and learn which areas hold bass – allowing tournament pros to quickly fill out a limit. Weighing in at ¼ oz., the Speed Trap dives to 8 feet. – work it slow or burn it over cover – the Speed Trap is about presenting your bait to maximum number of fish.

What makes the Speed Trap special is the computer-controlled molding used to manufacture it. The process creates a very thin-walled, high-action body, which produces maximum vibration while offering incredible balance – preventing the lure from rolling over at any speed.

The Speed Trap comes in eight colors: Phantom Brown Craw, Naturalistic Green Craw, Crystal Craw, Crystal Red Craw, Chartreuse Black Back, Delta Craw, Dirty Tennessee Shad, and Gunmetal Shad.

The Speed Trap has a body length of 2-3/4 inches and weighs ¼ oz. It features two No. 4 VMC round bend, black nickel treble hooks.

The lure has a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of US $9.99.

Garmin Introduces New Force Pro Trolling Motor

Garmin Report

Garmin Force® Pro
Garmin Force® Pro

Garmin has announced Force® Pro – a brushless trolling motor engineered with extreme power and Garmin’s most precise GPS positioning technology. It gives anglers everything they love about Force, now with multi-band GPS for superior anchor lock performance and a built-in GT56UHD, Garmin’s latest and most powerful Ultra High-Definition scanning transducer. Force Pro also adds reverse thrust capability which adds another dimension of control, useful for anglers slowing the boat or backing up through tight quarters, like creeks or dock slips.

Legendary power and reverse thrust capability

Force Pro features a brushless motor that uses a high-efficiency propeller to produce 100 pounds of thrust1. It can move anglers quickly from one dock or brush pile to the next, standing up to high winds and strong currents along the way. Now with reverse thrust control, anglers can quickly shift into reverse to control their boat without spinning the motor around. It’s whisper quiet, too, so the fish are less likely to notice. Thanks to its extreme efficiency, anglers can count on Force Pro to last all day while maintaining its power with minimal sonar interference.

New Sizes, Colors Offered in Berkley Krej

Berkley Report

Berkley Krej
Berkley Krej

The Berkley Krej redefined freshwater hard baits when it earned the prestigious Best of Category award at ICAST 2024. After listening to angler feedback, the Berkley team has upgraded the Krej, now officially available in five new colors and two new sizes, giving anglers even more options to adapt to any fishing scenario.

Designed to excel with forward-facing sonar, the Berkley Krej features an innovative upturned bill that mimics the natural upward fleeing motion of a baitfish. Unlike traditional jerkbaits, it moves upwards in the water column before falling back toward pursuing fish, creating a unique action that triggers reaction strikes. It can be worked just below the surface as described or fished as a topwater on a straight retrieve, adding even more versatility. Perfectly crafted in Berkley Labs, the Krej delivers unmatched performance, innovation, and variety for anglers ready to dominate their next fishing trip.

KEY FEATURES

  • The upturned bill creates a distinctive upward darting action when retrieved.
  • A backwards fall on pause (backslide) keeps the bait in the strike zone longer, triggering reaction bites.
  • The blend of ascending movement and backslide maximizes control and strike zone effectiveness.
  • Can be fished both sub-surface or as a topwater to mimic the natural predator-prey dynamic.
  • Optimized for use with forward-facing sonar
  • Sinking (1ft / sec)

New Sizes: 85mm • 128mm
New Colors: Smog • Perch • Olive Bone • Purple Slime • Vapor Herring
Suggested retail: $14.99
