Renfro Report

For seven decades, the Ford Indianapolis Boat, Sport & Travel Show has brought families together, inspiring them to embrace the beauty and adventure of the great outdoors. The 2025 show, held February 14-16 and 19-23 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds, is a celebration of this incredible legacy—and it promises to be bigger and better than ever.

In conjunction with that show, visitors can also attend the Deer, Turkey and Waterfowl Show in a nearby building Feb. 21-23. A ticket to one gets you in the other.
With more than 750,000 square feet of the great outdoors brought indoors, this year’s show offers something for everyone.

Boat, Sport and Travel Show

Explore the largest selection of boats and RVs in the Midwest, with more than five and a half acres of boats and four and a half acres of RVs on display. Whether you're planning the trip of a lifetime, comparing models for your next purchase, or simply dreaming of new adventures, the show has everything you need. Expert vendors and manufacturers are on hand to provide insights and help you find the perfect gear for your outdoor lifestyle.

If fishing is your passion—or a hobby you’re eager to try—you’ll love TackleTown USA, an entire building filled with fishing tackle, rods, reels, kayaks, and expert advice. The Fishing Seminar Series is a must-attend event, featuring legendary anglers like Babe Winkelman, Wally Marshall (aka Mr. Crappie), Joe Thomas, and more. In the Ask The Pro Fishing Seminars you’ll experience hands-on learning with presentations on crappie fishing and forward-facing sonar.

The iconic Hawg Trough, a 4,000-gallon aquarium, will showcase live demonstrations of fish reacting to various baits and techniques. Kids can even try their hand at fishing with the Kid’s Trout Pond—an experience they’ll treasure forever.

Also, you can meet travel experts face-to-face in the Travel & Tourism Pavilion to plan your next unforgettable getaway. From houseboat rentals to Canadian fishing lodges, African safaris to regional camping adventures, you’ll discover endless possibilities for making memories with your loved ones.

There will be entertainment, too. Twiggy the Water-Skiing Squirrel returns to delight audiences of all ages! Since 1979, Twiggy has entertained families while teaching valuable water safety lessons. Daily shows will combine fun and education in a way that’s uniquely Twiggy.

The K-9 X Games, featuring the Alpha K-9 U Crew, will amaze crowds with impressive demonstrations of canine obedience, dock-diving sports, and high-flying stunts like X-treme Retrieve and X-treme Air.

Don’t miss Kid’s Day on Saturday, February 22, where the first 500 children (ages 12 and under) will receive a South Bend Ready2Fish Fishing Reel. Interactive programs for young anglers, led by Dan Armitage, will spark a lifelong love for fishing and the outdoors.
